TREATMENT SPECIALTIES

My approach to treat adults, adolescents, and children, and couples and families, is holistic in the sense that I will spend the first few sessions assessing your issues, but also your strengths, your history and that of your family. We will discuss your expectations for therapy, and we will move ahead when you are comfortable with the treatment plan. The treatment plan will be designed to meet your particular needs and symptoms. We will use therapeutic techniques, education, and lifestyle changes to help you to obtain relief as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Psychotherapy requires that we work together, and your active participation in and out of our sessions will be necessary in order for you to reach your therapy goals.

I have been treating psychology clients for about thirty years, and over that time, I have come to specialize in several areas, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety and panic, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and grief and loss. I see women who have experienced childhood trauma. I treat sleeping difficulties, eating disorders, inattention and hyperactivity, and a lack of motivation. For those who wish, we can discuss their Judeo-Christian spirituality as being a source of healing and comfort. I address assertiveness training. We can also discuss life transitions and parenting issues.
